- Director of Risk Management
Jay Trimm joined the University of Alabama System in September of 2022 as the Director of Risk Management bringing with him 25 years of experience in risk management, finance, audit, and operations management for large publicly traded companies. Prior to joining the University of Alabama System, Jay spent five years with a rapid-growth energy company and started their risk management department with responsibility for all aspects of the risk management program (ERM, insurance, claims management, crisis management, business continuity, etc.). Jay spent the prior ten years with another large energy company heading their risk management efforts. Jay has a bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama and a master’s from UAB. Jay is also a Certified Risk Manager.
