Mr. Amiano joined the FBI as a special agent in 2021 and was assigned to the Jackson Field Office in Mississippi, where he investigated counterintelligence matters and served on the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) investigating domestic terrorism violations.  Mr. Amiano is a member of FBI Jackson’s crisis negotiation team and serves as the division’s Threat Management Coordinator where he functions as the primary liaison between FBI Jackson and the Behavioral Analysis Unit’s (BAU) Behavioral Threat Assessment Center (BTAC).

Prior to joining the FBI, Mr. Amiano was a U.S. Capitol Police Office in Washington DC from 2007-2009 and a special agent with the Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) from 2009 -2001.  While with DSS, Mr. Amiano worked assignments in Iraq, Mexico, Gabon, France, and India.  He was also assigned to the protective details of Secretaries of State Hillary Clinton and John Kerry and served as a Task Force Office on the JTTF in Orlando, FL.  He is a father of five and earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Berry College.
